Emergencies and official services
Is Raahi an SOS or emergency app?
No. It complements SOS apps and doesn't replace them. In an emergency, call 112. For SOS, use Himmat Plus, Delhi Police's official safety app for women.
How does Raahi fit with Himmat Plus or RWA groups?
Himmat Plus is Delhi Police's official safety app for women. Its SOS alert sends your location, with a short audio and video clip, to the Delhi Police control room so help can be sent. In an emergency, use it or call 112. RWA and WhatsApp groups work well within one colony. Raahi is planned for everyday awareness across nearby streets: short alerts on a map, confirmed by several neighbours, that expire when they're old.
Using Raahi
How do you stop false reports?
Alerts are designed to get stronger as independent neighbours confirm them, with limits on how often anyone can post. Moderator review is planned. No system is perfect, so use your judgement. How safety and moderation are designed
Will Raahi ask me to confirm alerts on the way?
That's planned. If you allow location and notifications, Raahi may ask you, as you pass a recent report, whether it's still there. "Still there" counts as a confirmation and "Cleared" helps the alert end sooner. Answering is optional.
Can I report anonymously?
For harassment and stalking, yes: these reports are designed to show no username and a blurred location.
